1. I dunno about negative thoughts, darkness, and a link to disease, but I do know Rosie if full of hate and darkness. The View became unwatchable for me after she came aboard and I'm glad she's gone.

I'm not wishing anything bad on her, but she really should lighten up a bit, both physically and mentally.

2. I am a fan of Rosie's and have defended her views many times. In this case I beleive that she is trying to rephrase the basic concept of the power of positive (or negative) thinking. Unfortunately, due to her style of writing and inarticulateness it does sound as if she is putting the blame of the illness on the victims themselves.

4. I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 1992. I found that reading Bernie Seigel's books on love Medicine, and Miracles gave me ideas on how too concur this disease. I also thought that I needed to stay as positive as possible, to focus on surviving to see my son graduate frome high school, and luckily from college, as well. Despite how much energy I spent on Healing, I had to travel to the Dark side in order to find my way out again. I am not just talking about days in the darkness. I know I spent at least two years in that dark space while I mourned for the unexpected loss of my brother. Sometimes we have to go to that dark space to realize that we are not in control. Sometimes it is there in that darkness that we reconnect with the One who ultimately guides us back to a more peaceful place---to reconnect with the everyday toils of living. And in living day to day, we somehow find
small measures of peace. ana

5. I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer to my lower vertebral spines in 1992. I went through aggressive chemo and an eventual stem cell transplantin the fall of 1992. I have traveled through all the ups and downs of healing and have to say that after a strong fight to survive the first five years, with the goal to see my son graduate from high school, and then from college--I have to say that a possitive as I tried to be, I had to go to the darkness of being a victim before I could find my way out again. There is no way anyone with a cancer diagnosis can be positive all the time. Bad things happen and we have to deal with multiple losses---of our prior healthy, energetic selves, of the sexual beings we had become, and even the energetic workaholic. I didn't change my life after the first diagnosis---it took this wall of defiant metastatic cancer to get me to change my ways. But I finally got it. It's been a long slow road to healing, to dealing with the possibility of death, and to understand that I am not in total control. Sometimes we have to go to the dark in order to find our way out again---and that's o.k.

6. "how the spiritual and the physical" are connected... this has a bit of truth in it, but I am sure that Rosie doesn't know a whole lot about this subject to speak about it. If I were to follow her reasoning, then all of us should have cancer because at one point or another, we all have lied.
